New Delhi, October 27, 2025: KONE Elevator, in collaboration with Smile Foundation, has launched the Smile on Wheels mobile clinic project in Delhi to bring essential healthcare services directly to underserved urban communities. The initiative aims to provide primary medical care to 90,000 individuals across 14 urban colonies and localities in the city.

The mobile medical unit was officially flagged off by Amit Gossain, Managing Director, India and South Asia, KONE, in the presence of Puneet Bali, Executive Director, Smile Foundation, and Dr. Rashmi Ardey, Director – Programme (Health & Women Health), Smile Foundation.

Equipped with a qualified MBBS doctor, paramedical staff, and basic diagnostic facilities, the mobile clinic offers free outpatient consultations (OPD) and medicines, along with point-of-care services. It will also raise awareness on preventive healthcare, maternal health, immunization, non-communicable diseases, antenatal and postnatal care, and government health schemes.

The initiative will cover areas including Madanpur Khadar, Harikesh Colony, Subhash Camp, Aali Village, Jasola Park, and Aali Vihar, among others. The project also aims to improve accessibility to primary healthcare services and facilitate referrals to higher-level medical institutions when necessary.

Speaking at the launch, Amit Gossain, Managing Director, India and South Asia, KONE, said: “At KONE, we believe that businesses must play a meaningful role in shaping healthier, stronger communities. Access to primary healthcare remains a pressing need, and through this initiative with the Smile Foundation, we aim to bridge that gap by taking quality healthcare directly to people’s doorsteps.”

Santanu Mishra, Co-founder, Smile Foundation, added: “Healthcare is a crucial service in ensuring the wellbeing and prosperity of the community. This collaboration builds on the ongoing Smile on Wheels initiative already operational in Guwahati, Assam since March 2023.
