New Delhi, July 27, 2026: Signify, a global lighting company, has completed a major phase of its Jagmag Pathshala CSR initiative by upgrading lighting and electrical infrastructure across 56 Government Residential Tribal Welfare Schools in Parvathipuram Manyam district, Andhra Pradesh, benefiting more than 18,200 tribal children.

The initiative was implemented in partnership with Jana Kalyana Samakhya (JKS) and in coordination with the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA). It focused on improving learning environments by installing energy-efficient ceiling fans, tube lights and outdoor lighting systems across the schools.

According to the company, the upgraded infrastructure has created brighter, better-ventilated and safer classrooms, improving visibility and overall school functionality. Enhanced outdoor lighting has also contributed to improved campus safety for students and staff.

The company said better-lit and well-ventilated classrooms have supported improved attendance, higher student engagement and greater participation in academic and sports activities.

Commenting on the initiative, Nikhil Gupta, Head of Strategy & Marketing, Signify, Greater India, said, "Every child deserves a classroom that is safe, comfortable, and conducive to learning. Through this CSR initiative, we have been able to address an essential but critical need in tribal welfare schools across Parvathipuram Manyam. Bringing reliable lighting and ventilation to these schools reflects our continued commitment to using innovation for brighter lives and a better world, especially for communities that need it the most."

The project is part of Signify's Jagmag Pathshala programme, which aims to improve educational infrastructure through better lighting solutions. The company said the initiative aligns with its broader CSR efforts to create safer, more inclusive communities while supporting access to quality education in underserved regions.
