Rajasthan, May 05 2026: Shree Cement Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Rajasthan under the Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan to support water conservation and natural resource management initiatives in the state.
The agreement was formalised in the presence of Shri Madan Dilawar, Cabinet Minister for School Education, Panchayati Raj & Sanskrit Education, and Shri Otaram Dewasi, Minister of State, Rural Development Department, Government of Rajasthan.
The Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan is a flagship programme focused on water conservation, groundwater recharge, and strengthening rural resilience through community participation and sustainable resource management.
Under the MoU, Shree Cement will implement CSR-led interventions in villages surrounding its Ras and Beawar plants. The initiative will focus on watershed development, water conservation, and improving natural resource management practices. These efforts are expected to enhance water availability, support agriculture and livestock, and contribute to long-term socio-economic development in rural areas.

The Government of Rajasthan, through its Watershed Department and other line departments, will provide technical guidance, administrative support, and facilitation to ensure effective implementation of the initiative.
The partnership aims to strengthen water security and build resilient rural communities through coordinated efforts between the public and private sectors.
