Shree Cement Extends Project Naman Support to Martyrs’ Families
New Delhi, October 09, 2026: Shree Cement Limited has extended the eligibility period under its Project Naman initiative to provide housing support to the families of Armed Forces and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel who lost their lives in service of the nation.
Announced on the occasion of Indian Air Force Day, the extension allows eligible families of personnel who died between January 1, 1999, and January 1, 2026, to benefit from the initiative. The revised cut-off replaces the earlier date of January 1, 2019.
To formalise the extension, Shree Cement signed addendums to its existing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB), under the Ministry of Defence, and the CRPF, under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The KSB addendum was signed by Air Commodore V. P. Singh, Secretary, Kendriya Sainik Board, and Mr. Vishal Bhardwaj, Head – CSR, Shree Cement Limited. The CRPF addendum was signed by Shri Vinay Kumar Singh, DIG (Welfare), CRPF, and Mr. Vishal Bhardwaj.
Launched to support the families of personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of the country, Project Naman provides eligible next of kin with cement free of cost for constructing a new home. Through its partnership with the Kendriya Sainik Board, the initiative covers eligible personnel from the Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. Its partnership with the CRPF extends the support to eligible CRPF personnel.
The company is also formalising the extension for eligible personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) and Assam Rifles, with the respective addendums expected to be signed in the coming days.
Mr. Vishal Bhardwaj, CSR Head, Shree Cement Limited, said, “Behind every sacrifice made in service of the nation is a family that carries that loss every day. While we sincerely hope that no family ever has to endure such a loss, Project Naman is our humble way of expressing our gratitude and standing firmly with the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation. We remain committed to extending this support to the families of our martyrs and honouring the legacy of their loved ones.”
Project Naman is part of Shree Cement’s broader corporate social responsibility initiatives, which cover healthcare, education, water and community development. Through the programme, the company aims to help eligible families build permanent homes while recognising the service and sacrifice of their loved ones.
