SHM Shipcare, Medhavi Skills University Partner to Boost Maritime Skill Development

New Delhi, July 28, 2026: SHM Shipcare Private Limited (SHM Shipcare) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Medhavi Skills University to strengthen skill development in India's maritime sector through industry-integrated training programmes. As part of the collaboration, SHM Academy has been officially affiliated with the university.

Under the partnership, SHM Academy will function as an industry-integrated learning platform, combining academic learning with practical industry exposure. The initiative aims to equip students and professionals with skills aligned to the evolving requirements of the maritime industry.

The academy will offer structured programmes covering maritime operations, marine safety, technical competencies, regulatory compliance and workplace safety. The curriculum will also include training in vessel inspections, firefighting systems, alternative fuels, fire watch training and technical operations.

According to the organisations, the affiliation with Medhavi Skills University will enable learners to access industry-relevant education aligned with recognised academic standards while improving employability across the maritime ecosystem.
