Rustomjee Group Plans 10,000 More Tree Plantations in Kasara

Mumbai, September 2026: Rustomjee Group has commenced the 2026 edition of its Go Green Kasara initiative in partnership with CREDAI, as part of its long-term Mission 50,000 afforestation programme in the Kasara region.

The Group plans to plant 10,000 native trees during the 2026 monsoon, building on more than 30,000 native trees planted over the past two years. The initiative has involved customers, employees, local communities, NGOs, environmental partners and volunteers.

The Plantation Month Campaign began on August 9, 2026, with plantation drives scheduled across weekends through August 30. The campaign invited customers, families, corporate partners, local residents and environmental enthusiasts to participate in plantation activities.

This year, the initiative has introduced the Miyawaki plantation method at select locations. The approach involves planting a diverse mix of native species at high density, with the objective of supporting faster forest growth and the development of self-sustaining ecosystems.

The plantations are expected to contribute to biodiversity, soil quality, groundwater recharge and the development of natural habitats in the region. Beyond tree planting, Mission 50,000 aims to promote community participation and greater awareness of native plantations as a means of ecological restoration.

With the latest plantation drive, Rustomjee Group said it is moving closer to its target of nurturing 50,000 thriving trees in Kasara, while continuing to use community participation as a component of its ecological restoration efforts.
