RSPL Group Marks 50 Years of Growth, Expands ‘Made in India’ Footprint Across Sectors

Gurugram, June 04, 2026: RSPL Group has completed 50 years since its inception, marking its journey from a detergent manufacturer in Kanpur to a diversified business conglomerate with operations across India and international markets. To commemorate the milestone, the company unveiled a short film narrating its evolution and future vision.

Founded by Shri. Muralidhar Gyanchandani and Shri. Bimal Kumar Gyanchandani, the Group began with its flagship brand, Ghadi Detergent, in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. According to the company, Ghadi Detergent currently has a household penetration of 32% in India, as per a Kantar Report released in March 2026.

Over the past five decades, RSPL has expanded beyond soaps and detergents into sectors including hygiene care, personal care, dairy and ice cream, chemical manufacturing, food and beverages, fashion and lifestyle, real estate and infrastructure, and renewable energy.

The company said it has established more than 24 manufacturing facilities across India, with operations in states such as Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Bihar. Its products are also available in international markets including Nepal, Bangladesh and Ethiopia.

RSPL Group stated that it has undertaken community development initiatives in areas such as education, healthcare, animal welfare, environmental conservation, water and sanitation, disaster relief, sports promotion and community welfare. The company also highlighted efforts to strengthen workforce participation and create employment opportunities, particularly for women.

The Group currently employs more than 24,000 people across its businesses.
