New Delhi, March 24, 2026: realme has partnered with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur’s C3iHub to launch the realme CyberSuraksha Initiative in Uttar Pradesh, aimed at enhancing cybersecurity awareness and digital safety skills among citizens.
The two-year CSR initiative will reach over 5,000 individuals, including students and government professionals, through a structured cybersecurity awareness and skilling programme. The collaboration is designed to strengthen cyber readiness and promote responsible digital behaviour across the state.
The programme will leverage the existing infrastructure of C3iHub at IIT Kanpur, further enhancing its role as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for cybersecurity awareness and capacity building. Participants will undergo a 32-hour training module delivered through a blended learning model, covering areas such as cybercrime prevention, online financial fraud, social media risks, identity theft, ransomware threats, and cyber hygiene practices.
The initiative also includes baseline and end-line assessments to track participant progress, with successful candidates receiving co-branded, blockchain-enabled digital certificates.
Francis Wong, CMO, realme India, said: “At realme India, we believe technology should empower users with safety just as much as with innovation. Through our collaboration with IIT Kanpur’s C3iHub, the realme CyberSuraksha Initiative aims to equip more than 5,000 citizens — including students and professionals across Uttar Pradesh, with essential cyber awareness and the skills needed to navigate today’s digital ecosystem. By strengthening C3iHub’s capabilities as a Centre of Excellence for cyber awareness and capacity building, and by delivering a structured, large-scale cybersecurity awareness and skilling program, we remain committed to creating scalable and sustainable impact that enhances cyber-resilience in the community and supports a safer, more secure Digital India.”
Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director, IIT Kanpur, stated, “IIT Kanpur remains committed to advancing national priorities through translational research-driven initiatives and impactful partnerships. The realme CyberSuraksha Initiative, in collaboration with C3iHub, is a timely effort to scale cybersecurity awareness and capacity building across the state of Uttar Pradesh. By equipping students, government professionals, and citizens with critical digital safety skills, this programme will play an important role in strengthening cyber resilience and fostering a more secure and responsible digital ecosystem in the country.”
The initiative aligns with realme India’s CSR priorities of digital literacy, youth empowerment, and responsible technology use, while contributing to broader national efforts to build a secure and resilient digital ecosystem.
