New Delhi, June 12, 2026: PVR NEST, the CSR arm of PVR INOX Limited, in partnership with Unicharm India, has launched a Period Positivity Campaign aimed at strengthening menstrual health awareness and promoting supportive community environments for women and girls across Delhi’s urban slum communities.

The campaign was inaugurated at PVR NEST’s Garima Grih centre in Kirti Nagar and will be implemented through the organisation’s network of government-partnered Pink Centres and Garima Grihs. These centres collectively serve more than 10 lakh women and girls annually across 35 urban slum communities in Delhi.

The initiative seeks to address challenges related to menstrual stigma, myths, and limited access to accurate information by conducting workshops and awareness sessions on menstrual hygiene management, reproductive health, menstrual waste disposal, and prevention of infections such as urinary tract infections (UTIs).

A key aspect of the campaign is its focus on engaging families and boys alongside women and girls to encourage community-wide behavioural change. The programme will also train 10 Master Trainers and create a network of 20 Community Period Positivity Champions to sustain awareness efforts beyond the campaign period.

The launch event was attended by Ms Nayana Bijli, Lead – Distribution and Licensing, PVR INOX Limited and Co-founder – Sandhuro Rani Bijli Trust; Ms Deepa Menon, Founder – PVR NEST and Sr. Vice President – Corporate Communications & CSR, PVR INOX Limited; Ms Maushami Dasgupta, Senior Vice President & Head – Legal, PVR INOX Limited and Additional Director, PVR INOX Pictures Limited; and Ms Preeti Negi, Director – CSR, HR and Communications, Unicharm India.

Ms Deepa Menon, Founder – PVR NEST and Sr. Vice President – Corporate Communications & CSR, PVR INOX Limited, said, "Through our government partnerships, we have built a network of Pink Centres and Garima Grihs that lacs of women trust for sanitation, health, skilling, and community support. This makes them ideal spaces to address menstrual health, which is still surrounded by silence and misinformation. We could not have asked for a better partner than Unicharm India, whose global expertise in menstrual hygiene management strengthens this initiative. Together, we hope to equip women and girls with the right information, encourage open conversations, and help communities approach menstruation with greater confidence and dignity."

Ms Preeti Negi, Director – CSR, HR and Communications, Unicharm India, said, “Menstrual health education plays an important role in improving the well-being and confidence of women and girls. Through this partnership, we are providing training, technical support, and educational resources to strengthen awareness at the grassroots level. We are pleased to support an initiative that empowers communities with knowledge and promotes a more positive and informed approach to menstruation.”

The campaign will continue through 2026 and will include workshops, community engagement activities, awareness drives, and a social impact assessment to evaluate behavioural change and programme outcomes.
