Pidilite-Trained Candidates to Represent India at WorldSkills 2026

Mumbai, September 22, 2026: Two candidates trained at the Pidilite Woodworking and Plumbing Centre for Advanced Skills (PWP) have qualified to represent India at the WorldSkills International Competition 2026 in Shanghai, following their performances at the IndiaSkills 2026 National Competition.

Prakash Suthar and Pankaj Jangra are now preparing for the global competition, which is scheduled to take place from September 22 to 27, 2026, in Shanghai, China. The 48th WorldSkills Competition is expected to bring together more than 1,400 young skilled professionals from over 70 countries and regions, competing across 64 skill categories.

The Pidilite Woodworking and Plumbing Centre for Advanced Skills (PWP) was established in partnership with Kaushalya - The Skill University, Ahmedabad. The centre provides hands-on training in woodworking and plumbing, with a focus on connecting traditional craftsmanship with evolving industry requirements.

Pidilite said its skill development initiatives are focused on strengthening capabilities across the woodworking and plumbing sectors and providing skilled professionals with exposure to national and international platforms.

The progression of the two candidates from IndiaSkills 2026 to the WorldSkills competition also provides an international platform for them to demonstrate their skills against participants from different countries and regions.
