Philanthropy Asia Alliance Expands India Network, Backs Two Impact Ventures

New Delhi, September 2, 2026: Philanthropy Asia Alliance (PAA), a Temasek Trust initiative focused on collaborative philanthropy across Asia, has expanded its engagement in India with Dasra joining its network and support for two India-based impact ventures, Rocket Learning and Frontier Innovations’ She Leads Bharat: Udyam.

Dasra joins PAA as a network partner alongside more than 110 funder members, network and programme partners across Asia and other regions. The partnership is intended to connect Dasra’s network of Indian philanthropic families, foundations, nonprofits and wealth advisers with PAA’s wider regional network.

The organisations plan to collaborate through platforms including Dasra Philanthropy Week and the India Philanthropy Forum. Existing Indian members of PAA include Aditya Birla Education Trust, Shiv Nadar Foundation and Bharti Airtel Foundation.

PAA's role is to bring our members' funding and networks into India, while giving Indian organisations a route into partnerships across the rest of Asia and the Global South. Separately, PAA and its funder members are providing support to Rocket Learning, an early childhood and foundational learning nonprofit, and Frontier Innovations’ She Leads Bharat: Udyam, which focuses on women’s economic empowerment.

Rocket Learning delivers early learning content to families through WhatsApp in local languages, supported by AI-driven personalisation, preschool educator training and behavioural interventions for parents. The programme has reached six million children across 15 states and union territories over five years, according to the announcement. With the new funding, it will expand in Uttar Pradesh and Odisha and enter Southeast Asia.

Frontier Innovations’ She Leads Bharat: Udyam connects rural women shopkeepers and entrepreneurs with a rural commerce platform through its AI-powered Meri Saheli app. The programme has reached more than 50,000 women across four states and delivered 100 million solutions to 4.3 million rural people, the announcement said.

PAA’s support will enable the programme to expand into Tier 5 and Tier 6 villages in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat, with a focus on increasing the incomes of 10,000 rural women.
