Mumbai, August 11, 2026: The Prakash Jayantilal Chauhan Foundation (PJCF), the philanthropic arm of Parle Agro Pvt. Ltd., has crossed 2,000 graduates through its Skill Centre and opened enrolments for the next 2,000 learners.

The milestone was announced on International Youth Day as the Foundation highlighted its focus on industry-linked vocational training for underserved youth. Since its inception in 2019, the PJCF Skill Centre has offered programmes in Beauty, Hair Styling, Administration and Secretary Studies, Refrigeration Air Conditioning and Washing Machine Repairs, and Career Assistance.

The programmes combine practical training with professional guidance and placement support. According to the Foundation, graduates have recorded a 95% employment rate, with alumni taking up jobs, working independently, establishing beauty salons and working as contractors across different sectors.

The Foundation said the training has also helped several graduates achieve greater financial independence and support their families.

Alisha Chauhan, Director, Parle Agro, said, “International Youth Day is a reminder that empowering young people with the right skills is one of the most meaningful investments we can make in our future. Skill development is not just about employment, it builds confidence, creates independence and enables individuals to transform not only their own lives but also those of their families and communities. Our milestone of 2,000 graduates reflects the determination and aspirations of every learner who has walked through our Skill Centre. As we welcome the next 2,000 learners, we remain committed to expanding opportunities and helping many more young people build sustainable and fulfilling careers.”

As part of its industry-readiness efforts, PJCF has partnered with Cosmoprof India to launch Cosmo Academy. The three-year partnership connects Beauty & Wellness and Hair Styling students with industry professionals, products, experts and coaches, along with exposure to industry trends and career opportunities.

The Foundation also works with placement partners across sectors including beauty and wellness, consumer durables, HVAC, electronics and telecommunications, retail, insurance, customer service, housing finance and engineering.

With enrolments for its next batch of 2,000 learners now underway, PJCF plans to continue expanding vocational education and industry partnerships aimed at improving employment opportunities for young people.
