New Delhi, July 04, 2025: NIIT Foundation, in partnership with YuWaah, UNICEF, has launched a new Open Online Course in Digital Marketing under the initiative titled #NayiDigitalDisha. The program is aimed at equipping underserved youth with digital skills to prepare them for employment in a technology-driven economy.

The initiative is currently being implemented across three Indian states—Rajasthan, Jharkhand, and Odisha—and is designed to support over 500 young individuals from marginalized communities. The course offers participants practical training in digital marketing, including the use of social media and online platforms to build marketing strategies and generate leads for businesses.

Participants who complete the 8-week course will receive industry-recognized certifications, assessed by NCVET and certified by NSDC. The program content has been curated based on industry input and NIIT Foundation’s extensive experience in skills training.

“This program is a step toward equipping India’s youth with real-world digital skills that will help them thrive in a tech-driven economy,” said Charu Kapoor, Country Director, NIIT Foundation. She emphasized that the goal of the initiative is to help young learners secure quality employment and improve their overall standard of living.

The program has already begun to show results. Bhavya Yadav, one of the course participants, shared, “Before joining the Open Online Course, I had never thought digital marketing could be a career path for me. Training enabled me to secure jobs in places such as Just Dial and Accord International.”

The launch of the program aligns with India’s broader goal of becoming a 100% skilled nation by 2047, with a focus on inclusive growth driven by youth empowerment and digital literacy.
