New Delhi, February 02, 2026: Nexus Select Trust has expanded the reach of its #HappynessForHER initiative, a nationwide programme focused on women’s health, menstrual hygiene, and awareness. The initiative has so far engaged women and girls across 15 cities, as part of the organisation’s broader community wellbeing efforts.

January, observed globally as Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, provided the context for scaling the programme’s outreach. During this phase, the initiative reached over 1.25 lakh women and girls through a combination of awareness workshops, access to sustainable sanitation products, and the installation of sanitary pad dispensers at select locations. More than 500 workshops were conducted across cities, and over 20 lakh sanitary napkins were distributed. The initiative aims to reach 3 lakh women by 2030.

As part of its continued expansion, workshops have been conducted in Mangalore and Navi Mumbai at schools supported by Nexus Select Trust, engaging more than 1,000 girls. Upcoming sessions in Gurgaon are expected to reach another 1,000 participants. The programme is also scheduled to extend to government schools in Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, and Delhi, with an estimated reach of over 8,000 girls. By working through schools and community settings, the initiative seeks to address gaps in awareness and access at the local level.

The #HappynessForHER workshops focus on menstrual health and hygiene, while also building awareness around conditions such as cervical cancer and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Structured sessions, led by trained educators, aim to provide accurate information, encourage early health-seeking behaviour, and support informed decision-making related to women’s health.

Dalip Sehgal, Executive Director and CEO, Nexus Select Trust, said, “Menstrual health in India continues to be an area where awareness and informed dialogue can be strengthened. This gap often prevents women from seeking information, care, and early diagnosis. India accounts for nearly ~20% of global cervical cancer cases every year, yet hundreds of millions still lack access to basic menstrual products, facilities, and accurate information underscoring the urgent need for awareness and preventive care this gap by providing credible, science-backed information to communities where it is required the most. Happyness for HER is about creating a safe space for dialogue and access, and an improved health ecosystem across the country.”

Through its ongoing rollout, #HappynessForHER reflects Nexus Select Trust’s effort to integrate health awareness and preventive care into its community engagement initiatives, with a focus on measurable outcomes and sustained outreach.
