Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust Presents Sat Paul Mittal National Awards 2025 in Ludhiana

New Delhi, November 17, 2025: The Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust presented the Sat Paul Mittal National Awards 2025 at a ceremony held in Ludhiana on 12 November 2025. Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Minister of Education, Government of India, attended as Chief Guest and felicitated the awardees. Mr. Rakesh Bharti Mittal, President of the Trust, was also present.

A total of five awardees received cash prizes amounting to ₹20 lakh under the Platinum and Gold categories. The Trust also distributed over 1,700 scholarships worth approximately ₹2 crore to students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Since 1991, the Trust has awarded more than 28,000 scholarships valued at over ₹11 crore.

Congratulating the awardees, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said, “The Sat Paul Mittal National Awards 2025 are beyond a celebration of honour, they reflect the nation’s spirit, recognising the transformative contributions of education, selfless service, and a self-reliant mindset in shaping India’s progress.”

Mr. Rakesh Bharti Mittal added, “At the Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, we believe that service to society is not merely an act of generosity – it is the very foundation upon which a nation’s true strength is built. The Sat Paul Mittal National Awards embody this belief, honouring those whose courage, compassion, and selfless action have created ripples of lasting change in the lives of others.”

This year also marked the launch of the Satya Scholarship Program, a merit-cum-means scholarship covering 100% annual course fees for selected students.

Award Recipients 2025

Platinum – Individual:
Mrs. Muktaben Pankajkumar Dagli (Gujarat) – honoured for her work supporting visually impaired women through Pragnachakshu Mahila Seva Kunj.

Platinum – Institutional (Joint):
Humans for Humanity (Dehradun) – recognised for menstrual hygiene awareness and WASH initiatives impacting 4.5 million women across seven states.
Parivaar Education Society (Kolkata) – acknowledged for education, healthcare, and humanitarian services reaching vulnerable children and communities nationwide.

Gold – Individual:
Dr. Kiran Modi (New Delhi) – awarded for transforming child and youth development through Udayan Care’s nationwide initiatives.

Gold – Institutional:
Smile Train India (New Delhi) – honoured for 1.5 lakh+ cleft surgeries and comprehensive rehabilitation support across India.

The annual Sat Paul Mittal National Awards recognise individuals and institutions working in sectors such as education, health, environment, child rights, disability welfare, and poverty alleviation. Past recipients include eminent personalities and organisations such as Dr. E. Sreedharan, Ms. Ela Bhatt, The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Goonj, and SOS Children’s Villages.

Founded in 1983, the Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust continues its focus on education, scholarships, and social welfare in line with the vision of its founder, Late Shri Sat Paul Mittal.
