Ballari, October 26, 2026: Narayan Seva Sansthan, Udaipur, has fitted 687 artificial limbs and calipers free of cost to 634 persons with disabilities at a camp in Ballari, Karnataka. The initiative aimed to improve mobility and support beneficiaries in carrying out daily activities with greater independence.
The camp followed a selection and measurement programme held on August 16, during which more than 797 persons with disabilities registered. After assessment and selection, 634 beneficiaries received artificial limbs and calipers tailored to their individual requirements.
A 40-member team of specialists from Narayan Seva Sansthan carried out the fittings. The process was followed by physiotherapy and walking training, during which beneficiaries practised using mirror bars to improve balance, posture and walking techniques. The devices were described as lightweight, durable and designed for comfortable use.

It aims to help persons with disabilities walk with confidence, perform everyday activities independently and lead dignified lives.
