Mumbai, August 11, 2025: The ‘I Am Peacekeeper Movement’ has appointed Mr. Nadir Burjorji Godrej, Chairperson and Managing Director of Godrej Industries Ltd, as an official Advisor.
A veteran business leader with decades of commitment to social and environmental causes, Mr. Godrej has held leadership roles at Godrej Industries Ltd. and Godrej Agrovet Ltd. His contributions to industry and society have been recognised internationally, including being awarded France’s Légion d’Honneur in 2008 and the Chevalier de l’Ordre national du Mérite in 2002.
Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, Founder of the ‘I Am Peacekeeper Movement’ and Executive Director of Wockhardt, said, “Mr. Godrej’s profound wisdom and values deeply resonate with our initiative’s vision. His guidance will be invaluable as we build a global community committed to harmony and meaningful action.”
Accepting the role, Mr. Godrej signed a letter of confirmation expressing his belief in the Movement’s mission of spreading justice, love, and peace globally. His experience is expected to help advance initiatives that unite communities and inspire positive social change.
The appointment is seen as a significant step in the Movement’s journey, reinforcing its focus on transformative leadership and collective well-being.
The ‘I Am Peacekeeper Movement’, founded in 2011 by Dr. Khorakiwala, is a global initiative aimed at fostering justice, love, and peace. It brings together individuals and organizations committed to harmony, compassion, and collective action through programs, advocacy, and partnerships. The movement now includes over two million Peacekeepers worldwide, guided by seven core values: Gratitude, Forgiveness, Love, Humility, Giving, Patience, and Truth.
Dr. Khorakiwala has led multiple large-scale initiatives through Wockhardt Foundation, including its Mobile 1000 program, which has provided free primary healthcare to over 40 million underprivileged people in rural India over the past 12 years. He also launched the Global Justice, Love & Peace Summit in Dubai in April 2025, which brought together 10 Nobel Peace Laureates and introduced the Peace Charter.
With Mr. Godrej’s inclusion as Advisor, the Movement aims to further its mission of building a more just, peaceful, and compassionate world.
