New Delhi, March 02, 2026: Motilal Oswal Foundation (MOF), the philanthropic arm of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited, has partnered with the Rohan Bopanna Tennis Development Foundation (RBTDF) to launch the Motilal Oswal Foundation Advantage Program, a structured three-year high-performance pathway for emerging Indian tennis players.

Under the initiative, the Foundation has committed ₹6 crore over three years to build a performance-driven athlete development model. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on February 28, 2026, at Motilal Oswal Tower, Mumbai, in the presence of Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna and Directors of the Motilal Oswal Foundation.

The Advantage Program will be anchored at the Rohan Bopanna Tennis Academy in Bengaluru and will offer selected athletes professional coaching, structured performance planning, sports science and fitness support, international tournament exposure, performance analytics, and financial assistance for global competitions.

The inaugural cohort will prioritise players with strong national and international results. The program will operate under a defined performance governance structure, including quarterly athletic and financial reviews. Athlete progress will be assessed through international ranking movement, tournament outcomes and overall development benchmarks.

Mr Motilal Oswal, Chairman of the Motilal Oswal Foundation, said, “At Motilal Oswal Foundation, we believe meaningful progress comes from disciplined investment in human potential. Excellence in sport, like excellence in enterprise, demands persistence, clear systems, measurable goals, and sustained execution. The Advantage Program is our commitment to building a structured platform where serious athletes can train with purpose, track their progress rigorously, and compete with confidence at global standards - helping India earn the recognition it deserves on the world stage.”

Mr Pratik Mehta, Trustee, Motilal Oswal Foundation, said, “Tennis has always been deeply personal to me, having experienced first-hand the discipline, resilience, and long-term commitment the sport demands. Through the Advantage Program, we aim to create an environment where talented athletes receive support and a structured pathway to realise their full potential and compete confidently at the highest global level.”

Founded in 2017, the Rohan Bopanna Tennis Development Foundation focuses on nurturing young tennis talent, particularly from underrepresented and under-resourced backgrounds, through professional training, education and sports science integration.

Rohan Bopanna, Founder of the Rohan Bopanna Tennis Development Foundation, said, “India stands on the brink of a sporting transformation. Across our cities and smaller towns, there is immense untapped talent waiting for the right opportunity. What athletes truly need is not just momentary support, but a structured, world-class ecosystem that nurtures belief, resilience and excellence over time. This partnership is about building that pathway to create a sustainable platform where talent is identified, developed professionally and supported consistently. Our vision is clear: to empower the next generation of Indian athletes to compete fearlessly on the global stage and proudly represent the country at the highest level.”

Through this initiative, the Foundation aims to establish a replicable athlete development framework aligned with long-term performance outcomes in Indian tennis.
