Goa, July 12, 2024: Molbio Diagnostics, a Goa-based leader in healthcare innovation, has expanded its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts with the launch of Occupational Therapy and Audiology Units at Aastha’s Centre of Excellence. The initiative aims to provide critical developmental and therapeutic support for children with disabilities.
The new units are expected to benefit more than 100 children annually by offering access to professional assessments, sensory and motor therapies, and communication support services. These additions align with Molbio’s broader goal of addressing systemic healthcare disparities and ensuring equitable access to services for vulnerable communities.
“At Molbio, we believe that access to healthcare must begin with access to opportunity—especially for children with special needs. Our partnership with Aastha reflects our enduring commitment to inclusive growth, where every child, regardless of ability, is given the tools to thrive. These therapy units are not just infrastructure—they are pathways to dignity, independence, and long-term empowerment,” said Sangeetha Sriram, Director-Operations at Molbio Diagnostics Limited.
The Occupational Therapy Unit will focus on building essential daily living, sensory, and motor skills, while the Audiology Unit will help identify and address undiagnosed hearing issues that can affect communication and learning. The facilities will also support children enrolled in Aastha’s Early Intervention Centre.
The initiative reinforces Molbio’s dedication to inclusive community development, complementing its work in diagnostics through its WHO-endorsed Truenat® real-time PCR platform. The therapy units were inaugurated at Aastha’s facility in Goa in the presence of local dignitaries, health professionals, and community stakeholders.
