New Delhi, Aug 16, 2024: In a landmark initiative to mark Independence Day, emergency services provider Medulance has launched a CSR-driven ‘First Aid Training’ campaign which aims to train over one lakh college students in Delhi NCR.

The campaign themed ‘First Aid for a Safer India: Training Our Future Emergency Heroes,’ is set to significantly enhance the safety and preparedness of students across the national capital, while educating them on emergency care. As part of the campaign, Medulance is also launching First Aid and Basic Life Support training across private schools in Delhi NCR, aiming to educate over 50 lakh students to become first responders in emergencies.

The initiative, which started from August 15, aims to integrate ‘First Aid and Basic Life Support Training’ into the curriculum of students aged 12 and above in Delhi Schools.

The campaign extends its reach to more than 50 colleges across Delhi including prominent institutions like Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies. Through these efforts, Medulance will educate over 70,000 students and faculty members, emphasizing the importance of first aid training and emergency preparedness among young adults.

Reflecting on the campaign, Pranav Bajaj, Co-Founder and CEO, Medulance, stated, "First aid is a critical skill that can save lives. By integrating first aid and basic life support training into the curriculum of Delhi’s schools and colleges, we are not only empowering our students with the knowledge to act in emergencies but also fostering a culture of preparedness and safety. We aim to create a generation of responsible citizens who can contribute to a safer India."

Medulance has previously collaborated with industry giants like Zomato, Uber, and others to provide first aid training as part of their broader mission to educate society on handling uncertain situations. This Independence Day campaign is a continuation of its efforts to build a more aware and prepared community.
