Mahindra University Partners with Bajaj Auto to Host Bajaj Engineering Skill Training (BEST) Centre

Hyderabad/New Delhi, November 26, 2025: Mahindra University has announced its partnership with Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL) to establish a Bajaj Engineering Skills Training (BEST) Centre on its campus. Supported by Bajaj Auto’s flagship CSR initiative, “BEST”, the Centre will focus on equipping engineering students with industry-ready skills in two verticals- advanced manufacturing (Industry 4.0 & IIoT) and firmware development.

The MoU signing was graced by Dr Yajulu Medury, Vice Chancellor, Mahindra University, and Mr Sudhakar Gudipati, Vice President, CSR, Bajaj Auto Ltd., along with faculty members and representatives from Bajaj Auto.

Under this collaboration, Bajaj Autowill play a pivotal role in the development of the BEST Centre. The BEST curriculum has been designed by expert engineers at Bajaj Auto, aligned with industry needs and academic gaps. Bajaj Auto CSR will also sponsor the equipment and infrastructure required for the two technology verticals demonstrating their commitment to skilling the youth and the advancement of engineering education. 

Dr Yajulu Medury, Vice Chancellor, Mahindra University, emphasised, “With the evolving demands of diverse industries, we aim to ensure that students gain practical exposure to the technologies shaping the future. To this end, we are deepening our engagement with industry partners to ensure that academic learning remains closely aligned with evolving industry requirements. Through the BEST Centre, we will not only enrich the academic experience but also contribute significantly to India’s advancement as a global technology leader and strengthen the nation’s skill ecosystem.” 

 “We are delighted to sign the first MoU in Telangana with Mahindra University to set up the Bajaj Engineering Skill Training (BEST) Centre. This state-of-the-art Centre will focus on Industry 4.0 Smart Manufacturing and Firmware Development. The Integration of industry-oriented curriculum as part of the regular B. Tech course will ensure that when students graduate, they are industry-ready and able to secure jobs in core engineering industries,” said Mr Sudhakar Gudipati, Vice President, Bajaj Auto Ltd.

The BEST Centre at Mahindra University will be the first to be hosted at a private institution in Telangana. It will also extend training to mobilised external engineering students in their final year, offering short-term internship-based skill programmes aligned with industry requirements. 

The BEST Programme aims to bridge the widening gap between academic learning and emerging industry demands, enhancing the employability of engineering students across India.
