Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Named Earthshot Prize Finalist 2026
Mumbai, September 18, 2026: Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML) has been named one of the 15 global Finalists for The Earthshot Prize 2026, becoming the only Indian automotive company and the only corporate among the finalists, according to the company.
MLMML has been selected under The Earthshot Prize’s ‘Clean Our Air’ category for its work in electric last-mile transportation. The 15 finalists have been selected across five Earthshot categories, with three finalists in each category. One winner from each category will receive £1 million at the awards ceremony scheduled for November 17 in Mumbai.
Founded by HRH Prince William in 2020, The Earthshot Prize identifies and supports solutions addressing environmental challenges. The 2026 Summit and Awards will be held in India for the first time.
According to MLMML, more than 4 lakh Mahindra electric vehicles have been sold, collectively travelling over 9 billion kilometres and helping avoid approximately 185,000 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions. The company said its electric three-wheelers and small commercial vehicles are also being used as working assets by drivers, delivery partners, shopkeepers and small businesses.
MLMML has also introduced customer-support initiatives such as its UDAY NXT programme, which includes driver accidental insurance and financial counselling.

The Earthshot Prize said the five winners will be announced at the Awards Night in Mumbai on November 17, 2026. The 2026 cohort includes organisations and initiatives from multiple countries working across areas such as clean air, conservation, waste reduction and climate action.
