New Delhi, September 22, 2025: The Better India hosted its flagship event, The Better India Showcase 2025, supported by M3M Foundation, at The Ashok Hotel in New Delhi. The event, described as India’s largest celebration of changemakers, honoured nine visionaries whose work has transformed millions of lives across the country, spanning sectors such as education, healthcare, water conservation, farming, and social innovation.
A special message from the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi lauded the initiative, stating, “TBI Showcase strengthens the spirit of collective action, making an impact on society and the nation.”
The changemakers celebrated included Abhishek Kumar, Mittal Patel, Amla Ruia, Dr. Ravi Kannan, Vishal Talreja, Sundaram Verma, Dr. Kalpana Sankar, and Uday Bhatia.
Reflecting on the evening, Dr. Payal Kanodia, Chairperson & Trustee, M3M Foundation, said, “It was heartening to see nearly 50 change makers celebrated across nine categories. Each story was unique, deeply moving, and a reminder of the power of individuals to drive collective change. A huge shout-out to our grand jury, partners, and guests of honour who made this event truly memorable.”
At the event, Dr. Aishwarya Mahajan, Managing Trustee, M3M Foundation, announced the extension of Mashaal Fellowships to changemakers recognized at the Showcase, reaffirming the Foundation’s commitment to supporting grassroots leaders.
The evening also featured a keynote address by BVR Subrahmanyam, CEO of NITI Aayog, and opening remarks by Amitabh Kant, Ex-G20 Sherpa, along with insights from leaders across development, corporate, and multilateral institutions. The jury included eminent figures such as Uma Ratnam Krishnan (Optum India), Hari Menon (Gates Foundation), CVL Srinivas (WPP India), Anshu Gupta (Founder, Goonj), and Magsaysay awardees Mandakini and Prakash Amte.
