New Delhi, February 04, 2026: Loom Solar has announced the launch of its scalable CAML Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), ranging up to 1 MWh, aimed at providing uninterrupted power to the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector and reducing dependence on diesel generators.
The newly introduced 125kW/261kWh CAML BESS is designed to address power outages, low-voltage conditions, and switch-over delays commonly associated with diesel-based backup systems. Unlike conventional generators, which typically require 30 seconds to three minutes to restore power, the CAML BESS provides instantaneous power availability, helping businesses avoid production losses and operational disruptions.
Engineered as a microgrid-compatible solution, the system delivers continuous power for more than two hours with deep-discharge capability. It is positioned as a cleaner and quieter alternative to diesel generators, supporting safer on-site energy operations while improving overall efficiency for industrial users.
The CAML BESS offers a lifecycle of up to 6,000 charge–discharge cycles, providing long-term durability and economic value. The system is IoT-enabled, allowing real-time monitoring and intelligent energy management, and can be integrated with renewable energy sources such as solar power for enhanced energy optimisation.
The solution has been developed through Loom Solar’s in-house research and development efforts and validated through internal testing facilities, reflecting the company’s focus on product reliability and performance.
Amod Anand, Co-Founder and Director, Loom Solar, said, “The scalable 125kW/261kWh BESS is a solution-led product designed specifically for India’s C&I sector, where even a few seconds of downtime can translate into significant losses. Our focus has been to replace reactive power backup with intelligent, seamless energy continuity. This solution not only ensures uninterrupted operations but also helps businesses optimise energy costs and move closer to energy independence through renewable integration.”
With this launch, Loom Solar expands its portfolio of integrated solar and energy storage offerings, supporting businesses in improving energy security, reducing reliance on fossil fuels, and strengthening resilience amid India’s ongoing energy transition.
