Maharashtra, June 17, 2026: Lloyds Metals & Energy Limited (LMEL) has announced the opening of applications for the fourth batch of its Global Education Programme, which supports students from Gadchiroli in pursuing higher education at Curtin University, Australia.

The programme, implemented through the Lloyds Infinite Foundation, is part of a broader initiative led by Mr. B. Prabhakaran, Managing Director, Lloyds Metals & Energy Limited, aimed at expanding educational opportunities for young people in Gadchiroli. So far, 24 students from the district are pursuing higher education at Curtin University under the programme.

Applications for the new batch are open from June 13 to June 20, 2026, for students from Gadchiroli who have secured at least 60 percent marks in Class 12 (PCM/PCMB) or in science graduation.

The initiative seeks to bridge the gap between rural talent and global educational opportunities by supporting deserving students who may otherwise face financial barriers to studying abroad.

Commenting on the announcement, Mr. B. Prabhakaran, Managing Director, Lloyds Metals & Energy Limited, said, “Some of the brightest young minds come from places where opportunities are often limited. Through this programme, we want to ensure that deserving students from Gadchiroli get access to world-class education and the confidence to pursue their ambitions. It’s encouraging to see students from the district study in Australia and build new possibilities for themselves. We look forward to supporting many more such journeys.”

Gadchiroli, a district that has historically faced developmental challenges, is increasingly witnessing efforts aimed at expanding access to education, skill development, and employment opportunities. The Global Education Programme is one such initiative focused on enabling students to gain international academic exposure and develop skills that can support their future careers.

According to the company, the scholarship programme is designed to help students overcome financial constraints that often limit access to overseas education. By facilitating admission and academic opportunities at Curtin University, the initiative aims to create pathways for higher learning and global exposure for students from the region.

With applications now open for the fourth batch, the programme continues to offer eligible students an opportunity to pursue international education and broaden their professional and academic horizons.
