Mumbai, March 9, 2023: Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance (Kotak Life) has joined hands with Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti (NPSS) to provide free early breast cancer detection to under-privileged women in Mumbai and nearby districts.
As part of its CSR initiative, Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance will provide the NGO with mobile medical van equipped with Thermalytix screening machines.
The ‘No Touch - No See’ technology uses Thermalytix which is a computer-aided diagnostics engine to detect breast malignancy from thermal variations. The van will have an all-female staff on board to ensure a safe experience for women during the test with remote support from a qualified Radiologist.
According to the company officials, with Breast Cancer incidences on the rise in India, the initiative aims to spread awareness about early detection of the breast cancer and its treatment among women. Though the initiative, Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance and NPSS aim to reach over 5000 under-privileged women from Mumbai and nearby districts over the next one year.
