Jindal Stainless’ Niramaya Programme Expands Rural Healthcare Access in Jajpur
Jajpur, Odisha | October 9, 2026: Jindal Stainless Foundation (JSF), the CSR wing of Jindal Stainless, is expanding access to healthcare and preventive health awareness in rural and remote communities of Jajpur, Odisha, through its CSR programme, Niramaya. The initiative combines primary healthcare services, mobile medical support, specialised health camps and community awareness activities to reach underserved populations.
Under Niramaya, a clinic and mobile medical van provide healthcare services across more than 15 villages in the region. The programme also organises regular medical camps and awareness sessions covering general health and specific concerns such as tuberculosis, cancer, diarrhoea, HIV/AIDS, malaria and sunstroke. These activities aim to improve awareness, encourage preventive practices and support early intervention.
Recent health camps held in Kumbhiragadia village in Danagadi Block and Pataranga village in Korei Block benefited more than 600 people, according to the organisation.
Commenting on the initiative, Pritika Chand, Head of CSR, Jindal Stainless, said, “For any community to stay healthy, awareness about prevention is as important as access to treatment. Through ‘Niramaya’, we address both these facets and promote healthy practices among individuals and families. At Jindal Stainless, we believe that access to quality healthcare is important for building healthier and more resilient communities, and we remain committed to facilitating the same in the region.”
During FY 2025-26, Jindal Stainless’ CSR initiatives reached more than 26,000 people. Niramaya alone provided healthcare services to over 16,000 people in Jajpur during the period, as stated by the organisation.
The programme is part of JSF’s broader healthcare initiatives, which also include Nanhe Kadam, focused on clubfoot treatment for children, and Kavach, a healthcare programme for truckers.
Through Niramaya, Jindal Stainless continues to combine access to medical services with preventive health education and specialised interventions in Jajpur. The programme focuses on addressing healthcare needs at the community level, particularly in villages where access to regular medical services may be limited.
