IndusInd Bank Joins Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials

Mumbai, August 21, 2026: IndusInd Bank Limited has joined the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF), a global collaboration of financial institutions working to develop and implement a common approach to measuring and disclosing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with financial activities.

The partnership is expected to support the bank’s efforts to measure emissions linked to its lending and investment portfolio, while strengthening climate-related disclosures and its approach to managing environmental risks. PCAF provides a methodology for financial institutions to assess and disclose emissions associated with their financial activities and is used by more than 750 financial institutions globally.

As part of its sustainability strategy, IndusInd Bank said it plans to use the PCAF methodology to establish a baseline for emissions associated with its financial activities and identify opportunities for decarbonisation across sectors. The framework will also support the bank in assessing climate-related risks and opportunities and engaging with customers on their transition towards lower-carbon business models.
