New Delhi, November 06, 2025: As India marks a decade of the Digital India mission, Indus Towers Limited, one of the world’s largest telecom infrastructure companies, announced that its flagship Digital Transformation Van (DTV) initiative has digitally empowered 136,525 individuals across rural and urban slum communities in Delhi, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha.

The initiative is part of ‘Saksham,’ Indus Towers’ flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, and is implemented in partnership with the NIIT Foundation. Launched in 2018, the DigiShiksha initiative under this programme provides training in digital literacy, IT skills, cybersecurity awareness, and financial education to youth, women, senior citizens, and farmers, directly supporting the Government of India’s Digital India Mission.

Neeti Wahi, Chief Digital & Information Officer at Indus Towers, said, “Indus Towers’ DTV is a commitment to inclusive growth and a belief that technology can be a powerful equalizer. It is heartening to see over half of our beneficiaries are women, which is a testament to our focus on inclusive growth and sustainable impact.”

The solar-powered 21-seater Digital Transformation Van serves as a mobile classroom, offering free doorstep digital education and public services. It is equipped with high-speed internet, computers, printers, and e-learning tools, enabling access to digital learning in remote and underserved areas. The DTV also facilitates community awareness sessions on digital safety, environmental conservation, and waste management, catering to diverse groups including students, women, farmers, and senior citizens.

Unlike conventional static training centres, the DTV travels to regions with limited access to digital education, customizing its content to meet local needs. Expert trainers from NIIT Foundation lead the sessions, ensuring personalized learning support.

The initiative underscores Indus Towers’ commitment to bridging the digital divide and promoting women’s empowerment through technology. By providing skills essential for modern livelihoods, the DTV has emerged as a catalyst for inclusive digital transformation.
