Indian Bank Contributes ₹1.20 Crore to Assam Flood Relief Under CSR Initiative

New Delhi, July 31, 2026: Indian Bank has contributed ₹1.20 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support flood relief and rehabilitation efforts in Assam. The contribution has been made under the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme to assist communities affected by the recent floods.

The cheque was presented to Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, by Shri Binu J. Pillai, Field General Manager, Guwahati, and Shri Alok Kumar, Zonal Manager, Guwahati, on behalf of Indian Bank.

According to the Bank, the contribution will support the Assam Government’s ongoing relief and rehabilitation measures for people impacted by the floods.

Indian Bank stated that the initiative reflects its continued commitment to supporting communities during emergencies through its CSR programmes. The Bank's CSR initiatives also cover areas such as education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, financial inclusion, humanitarian assistance and social welfare.

The Bank said the contribution is part of its broader efforts to contribute to community development and provide timely assistance during natural disasters.
