New Delhi, August 23, 2023. Vidur Sanghi, a 17-year-old Indian-American high school student based in California, is leading a humanitarian effort with his initiative, Magic: Music and Good in Concert™. Born during the Covid-19 pandemic in Silicon Valley, USA, Magic employs artistic expressions to raise funds and awareness for critical health challenges faced by underprivileged children in India. Vidur, alongside a team of young individuals, has created a global platform that combines entertainment, diversity, and philanthropy.
Magic's primary objective is to facilitate life-saving heart surgeries for girls in India who lack the necessary financial resources. With a fundraising goal of over INR 10 lakhs, contributions from Indian donors and sponsors will be directed to the Heart Care Foundation of India, a respected NGO founded by the late Dr. KK Aggarwal. The Foundation collaborates with prominent healthcare institutions, including Medanta-The Medicity and National Heart Institute, to carry out the surgeries.Beyond fundraising, Magic is dedicated to promoting awareness about the importance of early preventive health measures. The initiative aims to emphasize the significance of detecting and addressing health challenges from a young age. This approach aims to bring about a positive transformation in children's healthcare practices, particularly in disadvantaged communities. Additionally, artists who perform at Magic concerts, referred to as ‘Magicians,’ often express how the platform provides them with a sense of purpose and an opportunity for positive impact.
Vidur Sanghi, the founder of Magic, stated, "Through Magic, we are weaving a network of hope and support for underprivileged children in need of medical aid. Artistic expression, whether in the form of a vocal, instrumental or dance performance, is a universal language that enables us to cross borders and touch hearts. Our concerts are not just about entertainment; they are a call to action to safeguard our future generation's health."
Magic's distinct fundraising strategy involves hosting captivating concerts that celebrate cultural diversity. These events showcase a range of young talents, including instrumentalists, singers, and dancers from various backgrounds.
