Ghaziabad, September 30, 2025: Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), has distributed 80 advanced motorized wheelchairs to persons with disabilities in Ghaziabad and Meerut districts under its Samarth by Hyundai initiative.
The distribution ceremony was attended by Shri. Laxmikant Bajpai, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, along with senior representatives from HMIL including Mr. Jeongick Lee, Function Head - Corporate Affairs, and Mr. Puneet Anand, AVP & Vertical Head - Corporate Affairs, Corporate Communication & Social. Forty wheelchairs were provided in Ghaziabad and another 40 in Meerut. Each wheelchair offers a driving range of up to 15 kilometres, aimed at enabling mobility, dignity, and greater independence for beneficiaries.

Through our flagship CSR initiative, ‘Samarth by Hyundai’, we are committed to supporting persons with disabilities via impactful and inclusive interventions. The distribution of motorized wheelchairs in Uttar Pradesh marks a meaningful step towards enhancing mobility, independence, and dignity, while reinforcing our dedication to social development, in line with our global vision of Progress for Humanity.”

HMIF is currently implementing CSR programs worth ₹11 crore in Uttar Pradesh, focusing on healthcare and education, with the wheelchair distribution initiative further reinforcing its mission of inclusion and empowerment.
