According to the organisations, the initiative aims to address challenges related to healthcare accessibility in rural areas, where mobility constraints, limited awareness, and affordability often delay timely eye care treatment. By deploying the Mobile Medical Unit directly to villages, the programme seeks to improve early diagnosis and access to basic healthcare support.

Mr. Vinay Dhingra, Trustee, Honda India Foundation, said, “Eye health is foundational to dignity, independence, and livelihood. At Honda India Foundation, we believe healthcare access should not be a privilege of geography. This partnership with BhaktiVedanta Eye Hospital reflects our commitment to reaching underserved communities with meaningful and sustained support.”

The organisations stated that the initiative is part of Honda India Foundation’s broader community healthcare efforts focused on addressing local needs through long-term interventions.
