Aizawl, July 09, 2025: Honda India Foundation (HIF), the corporate social responsibility arm of all Honda group companies in India, has extended its ongoing initiative, Project Buniyaad – Aathmanirbharta Ka Aadhaar, in Mizoram. The next phase of the project was formally launched at the Mizoram Youth Commission (MYC) office in Aizawl.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Shri Lalnghinglova Hmar, Hon’ble Minister of State for Labour, Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Sports & Youth Services, Excise & Narcotics, and Tourism, Government of Mizoram, who officially inaugurated the continuation of the programme.
Project Buniyaad, first introduced in Mizoram in 2024, is implemented in collaboration with the Mizoram Youth Commission and Visan Foundation as the training partner. The programme focuses on equipping youth with skills in the hospitality sector, followed by assured job placements. Following its successful roll-out in Jammu & Kashmir and other parts of the North-East, the latest phase in Mizoram aims to further deepen the programme's local impact.
As part of this expansion, Honda India Foundation also supported the digital learning infrastructure at MYC by installing three interactive smart boards in classrooms, which were inaugurated during the event. These upgrades aim to enhance the quality of training and create a more engaging learning environment for aspiring youth undergoing skill development through MYC.
Honda India Foundation reiterated its commitment to supporting initiatives that focus on skill development, education, road safety, rural development, healthcare, and environmental protection. The foundation operates as the CSR arm of all Honda group entities in India, including Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., Honda Cars India Ltd., and Honda India Power Products Ltd., among others.
