New Delhi, 03 September 2025: Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), one of India’s leading FMCG companies, has formalised multiple strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) under its CSR initiative, Project SHINE, with the district administrations of Pune, Ratnagiri, Palghar, and Jalgaon. The agreements were presented in the presence of Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, along with Shri Girish Mahajan, Hon'ble Minister of Water Resources and Disaster Management, and Shri Pankaja Munde, Hon'ble Minister of Environment & Climate Change, Animal Husbandry, Government of Maharashtra, as well as senior officials.
Project SHINE focuses on strengthening communities through interventions in women empowerment, water access, healthcare, education, youth skilling, and support for tribal communities. District Collectors Shri Devender Singh (Ratnagiri), Dr. Indu Rani Jakhar (Palghar), Shri Ayush Prasad (Jalgaon), and Shri Jitendra Dudi (Pune) will lead their respective administrations in facilitating permissions, beneficiary selection, stakeholder coordination, and community mobilisation.
On the MoU partnership, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, said, “Maharashtra’s strength lies in the resilience of its people and the diversity of its regions. These partnerships with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages are the roadmaps that will support the communities in Ratnagiri, Palghar, Jalgaon, and Pune and achieve accelerated and inclusive growth. I am pleased to see HCCB extend their CSR efforts beyond urban centres into developmentally rural and tribal districts — a key focus of our Government’s mission. We remain steadfast in our vision of creating an ecosystem where every district thrives, where infrastructure and livelihoods go hand in hand. This collaboration is a step forward in our journey of making Maharashtra a model of holistic development for the entire country.”

Under the MoU, HCCB will implement initiatives such as deployment of electric vehicles for waste collection, rejuvenation of water bodies, upgradation of schools and Anganwadis, strengthening of Primary Health Centres (PHCs), construction of overhead water tanks, expansion of Naagrik Soochna Kendras for government scheme access, and livelihood support for women through Self-Help Groups. The program also includes youth skilling, digital literacy, and development of WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) ecosystems.
Through Project SHINE, HCCB has already undertaken CSR activities including waste management projects, installation of digital smartboards, Anganwadi upgrades, and awareness campaigns on government schemes. To date, the company’s CSR efforts have impacted over 1,20,000 individuals across Maharashtra.
