Mumbai, July 27, 2026: Hinduja Renewables Energy Private Limited (HREPL), the renewable energy company of the Hinduja Group, has announced that it has generated over 4 terawatt-hours (TWh) of clean energy since inception, helping mitigate 3.17 million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions. The company shared the milestone in its FY26 Sustainability Report, titled Empowering a Sustainable Tomorrow.
The report outlines HREPL's progress across environmental, social and governance (ESG) parameters while reaffirming its roadmap to achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2030 and Net Zero by 2040.
HREPL currently operates a renewable energy portfolio of more than 1.1 GWp across India and has a diversified pipeline of 3 GWp spanning operational and under-development solar and wind projects. The company is also expanding into energy storage through Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and pumped hydro projects. During FY2025–26, it generated 1.103 TWh of renewable electricity as it advances towards its Mission 10-2030, which targets 10 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.

Deepak Thakur, MD & CEO, Hinduja Renewables, said, "Crossing 4 TWh of clean energy generation is an important milestone, but its greater significance lies in the impact created, lower emissions, more responsible use of resources and stronger outcomes for our people and communities. As we scale towards Mission 10-2030, our focus will remain on building a renewable energy platform where growth, operational excellence and sustainability reinforce each other. For us, clean energy is not only about adding capacity; it is about creating sustainable value for our customers, stakeholders, and the country."
The company reported reducing water consumption for solar panel cleaning by 60–70% through robotic cleaning technology deployed across most of its sites. It also said over 99% of total waste generated during operations was recycled through authorised recyclers, supporting its circular economy objectives.
As part of its CSR initiatives, HREPL developed over 62.33 million litres of water storage capacity across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The company also reported a 100% increase in workforce, full employee health insurance coverage, approximately 446,122 occupational health and safety training hours, and emergency response plans across all operational sites during FY26.
