HCLTech Marks HCL Group’s 50th Anniversary with 50,000 Saplings

Noida, August 11, 2026: HCLFoundation, which drives the corporate social responsibility agenda of HCLTech in India, has marked the 50th anniversary of HCL Group with the planting of 50,000 native saplings and clean-up drives at 50 beaches across the country.

The environmental initiatives were carried out across 10 states, bringing together HCLTech employees and their families, nonprofit partners, women’s collectives, youth and other community members. The activities are part of HCLFoundation’s broader sustainability efforts focused on ecosystem restoration, natural resource conservation and community participation in environmental stewardship.

HCLFoundation said it has so far greened 74,000 acres of land, bringing the areas under community management. Its programmes have also resulted in the harvesting of more than 155 billion litres of water, supporting biodiversity and strengthening water security for communities facing water stress.

As part of its coastal conservation efforts, HCLFoundation has planted more than 181,000 saplings comprising terrestrial, mangrove and shelter belt species. It has also collected more than 120,800 kg of ghost nets and marine debris to date.

The latest plantation and coastal clean-up activities extend these efforts by engaging employees, community groups and partners in environmental action across multiple locations.
