Gurugram Hosts Earth Day 2026 Interschool Competition, 250+ Students Showcase Green Innovation

Gurugram, May 01, 2026: Demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental sustainability, over 250 students from more than 25 schools participated in the Earth Day Interschool Competition held in Gurugram. The event transformed Earth Day into a vibrant platform for innovation, awareness, and actionable solutions toward a greener future.

Organised by Guided Fortune Samiti, the competition was supported by Axis Max Life Insurance and key partners, including TheCSRUniverse, 3RZW Foundation, The Garden Store, Thriving Aspirers, Gurgaon First Foundation, and Aravalli Bachao Movement. The initiative aimed to empower young students to think critically about environmental challenges and propose sustainable solutions.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Capt. Indu Boken, District Education Officer (DEO), Gurugram, and Ms Neelam Chhabra from Axis Max Life Insurance, who encouraged students to take leadership roles in sustainability efforts.

Participants competed across multiple categories, including renewable energy models, quizzes, and speech competitions, in both Hindi and English. Salwan Public School, Sector 15, secured first place in the Renewable Energy Model category, while Rishi Public School topped the quiz competition. Students from DPS Sector 45, GSSS Bhondsi, and DAV Sector 49 emerged as winners in various speech categories.

The competition highlighted not only academic excellence but also the importance of environmental responsibility among the youth. Each participant contributed meaningfully, reflecting a growing awareness and commitment to sustainable living.
