Lucknow, February 26, 2026: Singapore-headquartered Global Schools Group (GSG) has signed a ₹1,051-crore Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to establish next-generation, skill-focused K-12 schools across key cities in the state.

Under the agreement, up to 10 schools will be developed over the next five to eight years in Noida, Noida Extension, Greater Noida, Lucknow and near the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar. The initiative, titled Global Schools Skills Project “Deeksha”, is expected to generate around 6,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.

The proposed campuses will focus on STEM-based learning, digital integration and industry-linked programmes aimed at enhancing career readiness and long-term employability. The schools are expected to adopt global curriculum benchmarks and governance practices while aligning with local education needs.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath said, “Global Schools Group has already taken giant strides in the field of education by setting up 64 campuses in 11 countries. And now, the organisation aims to bring this education excellence to Lucknow through skills-based schooling.”

Mr. Atul Temurnikar, Chairman of Global Schools Group, said, “Uttar Pradesh represents one of the most dynamic growth regions in India. Through this partnership, we aim to bring globally benchmarked, skill-integrated education to the state while remaining deeply aligned with local aspirations. Our commitment goes beyond building schools—we are building future-ready ecosystems that empower students with the knowledge, values and competencies required to thrive in a rapidly evolving global economy.”

Global Schools Group operates 64 campuses across 11 countries. The company stated that the Uttar Pradesh investment aligns with India’s broader focus on strengthening skills-based education and human capital development.
