Gaurav Bhandari Launches Financial Inclusion Initiative for 1,000 Underprivileged Girls

Mumbai, July 30, 2026: Gaurav Bhandari will felicitate 1,000 underprivileged girls at the "Empowering Her Future – 1000 Betiyaan, 1000 Sapne, Ek Vishwas" ceremony on July 31, 2026, at SPRJ Kanyashala Trust School in Ghatkopar (West), Mumbai. The event marks the completion of opening 1,000 government-backed savings accounts for students of the century-old institution.

According to the organisers, girls below the age of 10 have been enrolled under the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, while those above 10 have been covered under the NPS Vatsalya Scheme. Bhandari has contributed ₹20,000 to each account and has committed to making the same annual contribution over the next 10 years, amounting to a total commitment of ₹20 crore. The initiative is intended to support beneficiaries' future educational and financial needs.

The programme involved collaboration between school authorities, teachers, banking partners and parents to facilitate documentation and complete the account-opening process within 15 days. The organisers said the initiative also focused on promoting financial literacy and encouraging long-term savings among families.

The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, has been invited as the Chief Guest for the event.

Commenting on the initiative, Gaurav Bhandari, Monarch Networth Capital Ltd., said, "I wanted to do something real, something meaningful, something that could genuinely change the lives of underprivileged girls. This is huge, even for me, but not once did the thought cross my mind whether I would be able to honour this commitment fully. We all chase success in life, but the happiness, positivity and inner strength that come from giving back are far greater than anything else. At the end of it all, we are not remembered for what we earned. We are remembered for what we gave."

The organisers said the initiative aims to strengthen financial inclusion for girls from underserved communities by providing them with savings instruments in their own names, supporting long-term financial security and educational aspirations.
