New Delhi, July 07, 2025: FUJIFILM India has reaffirmed its commitment to education and community development through its ongoing CSR initiative at government schools in Jajru, Faridabad, and MG Road, Gurugram. Now in its third consecutive year, the initiative is aimed at improving educational infrastructure, promoting gender-sensitive sanitation, and supporting environmental sustainability for underserved communities.

The latest phase of the program benefits over 600 students by upgrading school facilities, providing learning materials, and introducing greenery into the campus. Key developments at the Jajru school include the construction of a new girls' washroom, paving of the assembly area, building of a basketball court, and boundary wall improvements. In addition, the company distributed school supplies—bags, shoes, and water bottles—to motivate students to attend and remain in school.

“At FUJIFILM India, our CSR efforts are anchored in our belief of our Group purpose of ‘Giving Our World More Smiles.’ By blending diverse ideas, unique capabilities, and extraordinary people, we aim to create solutions that bring joy and smiles to the world. By investing in education and infrastructure, we aim to shape a future where every child, has the opportunity to learn and thrive. Our sustained initiative in both the schools at MG Road, Gurugram and Jajru, are more than a project, it’s a step toward building a more inclusive and empowered India,” said Mr. Koji Wada, Managing Director, FUJIFILM India.

Environmental sustainability also remains a key focus. FUJIFILM India has continued nurturing 100 trees planted last year in Jajru and initiated a fresh round of fruit-bearing tree plantations. Over 30 employees participated in the tree plantation drive, promoting staff engagement and community connection.

“At FUJIFILM India, we believe that education is the foundation for building a better future, and every child deserves access to quality education, irrespective of their circumstances. Through this year’s community development initiative, we aim to not only improve school infrastructure but also create a more sustainable and supportive environment for students. We are proud to be part of this journey for three consecutive years and will continue to focus on empowering young minds, building inclusive futures, and contributing to long-term societal development,” said Mr. Abhi Shekhar Singh, Vertical Head, Corporate Communications & CSR, FUJIFILM India.

The initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), particularly Goal 4 on quality education and Goal 6 on clean water and sanitation. It is part of FUJIFILM India’s broader strategy under the Sustainable Value Plan 2030, which aims to enhance social infrastructure and promote long-term impact through responsible business practices.
