Mumbai, Apr 28, 2025: Godrej Foods Ltd continues to build a more inclusive and future-ready food system through its women-led leadership accelerator, WINGS. This initiative has been designed to nurture talent across levels — from fresh graduates and lateral hires to women within the company’s promoter network — enabling them to take on influential roles across operations, sales, and marketing.
Through structured learning, immersive market experiences, and real-time business exposure, WINGS empowers women to step into the field, shape business outcomes, and bring fresh perspectives to the heart of India’s food landscape. It is this blend of purpose, innovation, and on-ground impact that WINGS celebrates — and it is the spirit behind Fuelled by Her, a new short film released by Godrej Foods Ltd.
Their stories come together to reveal a powerful truth: women are no longer just supporting India’s food industry; they are leading it from the frontlines. Bhagyamma transformed a modest poultry farm in Chikaballapur into a flourishing business that supports her community. Jayshri, in Nashik, turned uncertainty into stability by scaling her farm into a key regional supplier. Rozaline, from Manipur, built a reliable distribution network that ensures food reaches homes across the Northeast — on time, every time. Through their lens, the film celebrates the quiet revolution being led by women across India’s food ecosystem.
While these three women are at the heart of this film; they are only a glimpse into the thousands of unsung heroes who work tirelessly to feed a nation. Godrej Foods Ltd remains committed to uplifting, supporting, and spotlighting these changemakers — those who nourish homes, build communities, and quietly lead revolutions every day.
Speaking on the initiative, Abhay Parnerkar, CEO, Godrej Foods Ltd, said, “At Godrej Foods Ltd, we see women not just as part of our food ecosystem—but as its architects. Through innovation rooted in local wisdom, cultural stewardship, and an unwavering commitment to quality, they are helping us reimagine what it means to serve a billion people every day. Our WINGS initiative reflects this ethos—empowering women across the value chain to lead with purpose, build communities, and shape a more inclusive, customer-first food future. Because when women rise, the nation rises with them.”
This inclusive momentum is already delivering tangible results. Gender representation across functions has nearly doubled from in FY24. In Sales and Marketing, the number of women has grown over 3x. At the same time, attrition has dropped to nearly one-third of what it was last year. These milestones are a reflection of the culture Godrej Foods Ltd continues to foster — one of opportunity, equity, and deep-rooted commitment to building not just a more diverse workforce, but a stronger, more human-centred food future. Programs like WINGS will continue to fuel transformation, one woman at a time.
