Lucknow, December 18, 2025: Building on the success of its first phase, Flipkart Foundation, the charitable arm of the Flipkart Group, has partnered once again with Haqdarshak Empowerment Solutions Private Limited to scale support for underprivileged nano-entrepreneurs across Uttar Pradesh. The 12-month initiative will be implemented across Lucknow, Varanasi and Noida, with a focus on enabling business formalisation and improving access to government-backed credit linkage schemes.
The expanded phase aims to support 4,235 nano-entrepreneurs by facilitating access to essential business documentation such as Udyam Registration and Trade Licenses, along with relevant welfare and credit schemes. Through a tech-enabled and assisted model, the programme seeks to strengthen entrepreneurs’ participation in the formal economy and support long-term business stability and growth.
The partnership builds on Phase 1 of the programme, which reached more than 2,500 nano-entrepreneurs in Lucknow and Varanasi. During the earlier phase, participants were supported in obtaining key documents and accessing welfare-linked benefits, helping lay the foundation for financial security and market participation.
In the current phase, entrepreneurs will receive personalised guidance to navigate application processes and fulfil eligibility requirements for formalisation and credit access. Special emphasis will be placed on supporting women nano-entrepreneurs to secure the documentation required to establish and grow their businesses.
Sarah Gideon, Vice President, Communications and Flipkart Foundation, said, “At Flipkart Foundation, we believe that strengthening entrepreneurship starts with strengthening access, to information, to documentation, and to opportunities that enable long-term growth. Our continued collaboration with Haqdarshak reflects this belief. By supporting entrepreneurs at the grassroots with the tools and guidance they need to enter the formal economy, we aim to foster financial inclusion and help small business owners build resilient, secure futures for themselves and their communities.”
Aniket Doegar, CEO and Co-founder, Haqdarshak, said, “In the first phase of our partnership with the Flipkart Foundation, we reached 2,500 nano entrepreneurs with scheme awareness and the formalisation of their businesses. We’ve now geared up to connect 4,235 nano entrepreneurs to essential schemes and credit linkages, with a sharp focus on getting women nano entrepreneurs the documents needed to establish their businesses. Through targeted awareness campaigns and door-to-door outreach, our ‘Haqdarshaks’ will ensure seamless access to benefits. As we progress, we remain committed to empowering more entrepreneurs with the resources they need to thrive. Our association with Flipkart Foundation will be critical towards our goal of impacting 20 million micro-enterprises by 2030.”
Under the initiative, Haqdarshak will lead on-ground implementation through a trained local agent network that will conduct outreach, facilitate applications, track progress and provide end-to-end support. The programme is expected to directly benefit thousands of nano-entrepreneurs, with indirect benefits extending to their families and local communities.
The collaboration reflects a shared commitment by Flipkart Foundation and Haqdarshak to strengthening grassroots entrepreneurship and promoting equitable economic opportunities through improved access to formal systems and financial resources.
