Federal Bank and I4C Conclude Nationwide Cyber Awareness Campaign ‘Twice is Wise’, Reaching Over 9 Crore Citizens

New Delhi, January 23, 2026: Federal Bank, in association with the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has concluded the nationwide cyber awareness campaign ‘Twice is Wise’, marking the culmination of a six-month public outreach initiative aimed at strengthening India’s response to cyber and financial fraud.

Launched around Independence Day 2025 and concluding ahead of Republic Day 2026, the campaign emerged as one of the country’s largest government-supported public education efforts focused on cyber safety, digital vigilance, and fraud prevention. The initiative was formally flagged off in Mumbai on Independence Day by Shri Sanjay Shintre, IPS (DIG – Maharashtra Cyber), alongside Shri KVS Manian, Managing Director & CEO, Federal Bank, and Shri Venkatraman Venkateswaran, Executive Director, Federal Bank, in the presence of Shri Nishant Kumar, Director, I4C.

Over the course of six months, the Federal Bank–I4C campaign travelled across 11 states and 17 cities, engaging citizens through 85 schools and colleges, community roadshows, workshops, radio outreach, print campaigns, and digital platforms. Anchored in the theme “Freedom from Fraudsters,” the initiative focused on promoting safe digital practices, responsible financial behaviour, and awareness of common cyber fraud tactics.

By combining grassroots engagement with large-scale mass media outreach, the campaign reached over 9 crore citizens nationwide, reinforcing public vigilance against cybercrime. The initiative highlighted the role of collaboration between government agencies, financial institutions, and media platforms in addressing the rapidly evolving cyber threat landscape.

The culmination event, held at the NDCC II Building, Connaught Place, New Delhi, brought together key stakeholders including Nishant Kumar, Director, I4C; Bincy Cherian, SVP & Chief of Internal Vigilance, Federal Bank; Avinash Nair, Chief Revenue Officer, Radio City; Anoop T, SVP & Country Head – Government & Institutional Business, Federal Bank; and Shri Vinod Kumar, VP & New Delhi Zonal Head, Federal Bank.

Commenting on the campaign, Nishant Kumar, Director, I4C, said, “We were happy to associate with Federal Bank in this long duration campaign reaching over 9 Crore Indians. Federal Bank has laid an example among other Banks while leading the fight against cyber and financial fraud. Together let’s build a safe, secure and smart digital India.”

Bincy Cherian, SVP & Chief of Internal Vigilance, Federal Bank, added, “As India’s digital economy expands and cyber threats evolve, it is imperative that every citizen is informed and alert on frauds in the digital space. ‘Twice is Wise’ campaign by Federal Bank reached over nine crore people nationwide… reinforcing the message that in the digital world always checking ‘Twice is Wise’ is key to ensuring freedom from cyber frauds.”

The campaign underscores the growing importance of sustained public awareness in safeguarding India’s digital ecosystem and strengthening trust in digital financial systems.
