Nashik, September 17 2025: ESDS Software Solution Limited organized a tree plantation drive in Warwandi, Nashik, where 10,000 saplings were planted in a single day as part of the company’s aspiration to contribute to the planting of over one billion trees.
The initiative was inaugurated by Mr. Piyush Prakashchandra Somani, Promoter, Managing Director and Chairman, ESDS Software Solution Limited, along with Mrs. Komal Somani, Whole-time Director and Chief Human Resource Officer, ESDS Software Solution Limited. Over 200 ESDS employees participated in the drive alongside local stakeholders.
The event was supported by personnel from the Nashik Forest Division and facilitated by Warwandi’s local administration. Participants included Assistant Conservator of Forest Mr. Santosh Sonawane; Range Forest Officer (Dindori) Mr. Sushant Patil; Round Forest Officer (Umrale) Mr. Ashok Kale; forest guards Mr. Yogesh Dalvi, Mr. Nilesh Bhoye, Mr. Batu Bagul and Mr. Gorakh Gangurde; and forest sevaks Mr. Shantaram Shirsat, Mr. Ananda Mahale, Mr. Chandrabhan Jadhav, Mr. Hiramana Jadhav and Mr. Chandra Pimpalke. Support also came from the Warwandi Gram Panchayat, including Mrs. Vandana Sampat Dhule (Sarpanch), Mrs. Rajshree Amol Jadhav (Deputy Sarpanch), Mr. Trambak Dagu Jadhav (Forest Committee President) and Mrs. Sharda Shinde (Gramsevak).
“Our aspiration to contribute toward a billion trees is not a slogan; it is a reminder to keep showing up for the places we live in,” said Mr. Piyush Prakashchandra Somani. “Warwandi reflects what we value: people coming together with local institutions to do something simple, visible and good. When participation is sincere and community-anchored, small efforts begin to add up and support the green cover we all depend on.”
“Environmental care at ESDS is about participation with purpose,” said Mrs. Komal Somani. “Someday our children will ask what we built that they can breathe in and belong to. That question keeps us honest. In Warwandi, our teams chose to spend a day creating shade, soil health and habitat for years to come. That spirit, showing up, contributing and respecting local guidance, is how our one-billion-trees aspiration takes shape in real life and keeps our focus on actions that matter.”
The drive adds to ESDS’s ongoing environmental initiatives in Nashik district, with a focus on practical outcomes such as habitat support, soil stabilization and shade creation. The initiative also reinforced collaboration between corporate volunteers and public institutions, emphasizing citizen participation alongside public stewardship.
According to the company, the Warwandi plantation drive is part of its broader environmental practice that engages employees, works with public agencies, and supports local communities, rather than being a one-off activity.
