Gurugram, August 31, 2026: Gurugram-based home services company Eazzy has expanded its offering beyond repair and maintenance with the launch of its Recommerce & Buyback programme, enabling households to sell old appliances, electronics and mobile phones.

The programme combines product valuation, buyback and collection, with the aim of making it easier for consumers to dispose of or replace older products. Eligible appliances and electronic devices may be assessed for resale, allowing products with remaining usable life to be used again.

The initiative comes as India faces a growing e-waste challenge. According to estimates cited by Eazzy, the country generated 6.2 million tonnes of e-waste in FY24, with the volume projected to exceed 14 million tonnes by 2030. The formal recycling infrastructure is estimated to have a processing capacity of around 2 million tonnes.

Extending the Product Lifecycle

The Recommerce & Buyback programme builds on Eazzy’s existing home services business, which focuses on repair and maintenance of household appliances and electronics. The new offering addresses the stage when consumers decide to replace or upgrade products.

For mobile phones, customers can provide device details to receive a buyback price. For larger appliances and electronics, Eazzy facilitates valuation and collection.

The company said the programme will assess products for potential reuse, with the objective of extending their useful life and reducing the number of products entering waste streams prematurely.

“We started Eazzy with a simple belief that Indian homes deserve a better experience,” said Saurabh Luthra, Co-Founder & CEO, Eazzy. “We began by helping people fix and maintain what they already own. Buyback is the natural next step. When a product has done its job for you and it is time to move on, we want to make that transition simple and hassle-free, giving customers value while giving the product a chance to live on.”

“While buying a new product is exciting, figuring out what to do with the old one can often be a hassle. We saw an opportunity to simplify that part of the journey. Our AI-powered buyback platform helps customers quickly understand the value of their existing products and makes upgrading more convenient, without the usual effort involved in selling them,” said Bhavesh Kataria, Product Head, Eazzy.

The launch extends Eazzy’s involvement in the household electronics lifecycle from repair and maintenance to product replacement and resale, with reuse positioned as one way to address the growing volume of discarded electronics.
