Ahilyanagar (Maharashtra), Jun 16, 2025: Intelligent power management company Eaton, through the Eaton India Foundation, in partnership with Krushi Vikas, launched the ‘Jalsamruddhi Project’ for helping the rural communities in the villages of Kharshinde and Kanasewadi in Maharashtra. Eaton has been working with Krushi Vikas over the last six years and has undertaken multiple agricultural initiatives.

Eaton's collaboration has made a transformative impact on agricultural communities, treating 982 acres of land to improve resilience against soil erosion and water scarcity. The initiative has led to the construction of over 100 water storage structures, enabling access to enhanced irrigation systems and ensuring consistent and productive farming seasons.

Additionally, more than 50 acres of land in these villages now thrive with advanced farming techniques introduced through programs like farmer field schools, exposure visits, and formal training sessions. Eaton's efforts have extended to supporting animal health camps and dairy training, fostering better livestock management and helping communities achieve financial stability and self-reliance.

Commenting on the collaboration, Shailendra Shukla, Managing Director, Mobility Group, India, Eaton said, “At Eaton, we are committed towards making communities stronger and being active stewards of the environment. Through our partnership with Krushi Vikas, we have not only addressed critical agricultural challenges but also empowered farmers with advanced techniques and tools to ensure consistent productivity and self-reliance. By supporting such programs, we continue to work towards a future where communities flourish both economically and environmentally.”

Speaking on the collaboration Amit Naphade, CEO, Krushi Vikas, said, "The Jalsamruddhi project in partnership with Eaton has transformed Kharshinde and Kansewadi by conserving over 15 crore liters of water and empowering the community. Water availability and skill-building have led to a 200 percent rise in livestock and second cropping on 60 percent of farmland. The result—stronger livelihoods, improved resilience, and a better quality of life."
