Lucknow, June 12, 2026: DEVI Sansthan (Dignity Education Vision International), a Lucknow-based not-for-profit organisation working in the field of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), is set to be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange’s Social Stock Exchange (SSE). The organisation’s public issue is scheduled to open on June 29, 2026.

The listing is aimed at supporting the expansion of DEVI Sansthan’s FLN initiatives in government schools across Ranchi district in Jharkhand. Funds raised through the SSE platform will be used to scale programmes focused on accelerated learning, teacher capacity building, learning assessments, and school-based interventions designed to improve literacy and numeracy outcomes among children.

Founded in 1992 by educationist Dr. Sunita Gandhi, DEVI Sansthan has been working with governments, educators, schools, and social sector stakeholders to address learning gaps through its ALfA (Accelerating Learning for All) methodology. The approach focuses on enabling children to acquire foundational reading, writing, and arithmetic skills through accelerated and peer-learning-based models.

The organisation’s work spans foundational learning interventions, teacher training programmes, learning outcome assessments, and literacy campaigns aimed at helping children, youth, and adults overcome learning deficits in a shorter time frame.

Dr. Sunita Gandhi, Founder & CEO, DEVI Sansthan, said, “For decades, we have seen millions of children move through education systems without acquiring basic reading and arithmetic skills. At DEVI Sansthan, our focus has always been on creating simple, scalable, and evidence-based learning models that can help every child learn effectively and with dignity. The Social Stock Exchange listing is an important step towards strengthening transparency, expanding collaborations, and taking foundational learning interventions to communities that need them the most.”

Nixon Joseph, Group Executive Director of DEVI Sansthan & Former President of SBI Foundation, said, “Foundational Literacy and Numeracy is one of the most critical challenges within the education ecosystem today. At DEVI Sansthan, we have consistently focused on building scalable and evidence-based learning models that can create measurable social impact. The Social Stock Exchange listing reflects our commitment towards transparency, accountability, and long-term impact. It will help us strengthen our outreach, deepen collaborations, and expand access to quality foundational learning for underserved communities across geographies.”

According to the organisation, the capital mobilised through the SSE listing will support literacy and numeracy programmes, teacher training initiatives, accelerated learning interventions, assessment frameworks, and school-based education models aimed at strengthening learning outcomes at scale.
