New Delhi, 07 August 2025: Deloitte India has announced a strategic collaboration with Rainmatter Foundation to foster an ecosystem for scalable, community-led climate action. The partnership aims to bridge fragmented efforts in climate response and promote integrated, systems-based solutions that prioritize ecological restoration, circularity, and community resilience.

The initiative will leverage Deloitte’s strategic and technological capabilities alongside Rainmatter’s place-based approach to co-develop sustainable pathways across key sectors such as energy, food, mobility, materials, and construction.

Commenting on the collaboration, Viral Thakker, Partner and Sustainability and Climate Leader, Deloitte South Asia, said, “At this critical juncture for our planet, businesses must look beyond traditional models of responsibility and embrace a deeper, more purposeful role in shaping a sustainable future. This collaboration with Rainmatter Foundation marks a bold step in that direction, merging strategic insight with ecological wisdom to develop solutions that not only address the symptoms of the climate crisis but go to the root of transformation. Together, we aim to co-create pathways that honour community voices, restore ecosystems, and embed sustainability at the heart of economic decision-making.”

As part of the initiative, the partners will jointly curate learning programs, promote knowledge sharing, and collaborate with platforms to encourage shared responsibility and innovation. A key focus of the collaboration is to influence climate policy and industry standards using data-driven insights, strategic communications, and thought leadership.

Sameer Shisodia, CEO, Rainmatter Foundation, added, “Addressing climate change demands that we break down silos and rethink how we engage with our environment, economy and each other. This collaboration with Deloitte offers an opportunity for industry leaders to engage with grounded, field-tested insights and place-based approach. At the same time, it will offer nonprofits and climate innovators to tap into the industry’s scale and resources. We hope to create a space of mutual respect and shared intent where we can work together to break silos and create a lasting impact.”

By integrating industry networks with community knowledge, the collaboration seeks to accelerate inclusive, sustainable solutions that are locally rooted and globally relevant.

Rainmatter Foundation, established by Zerodha in 2019, supports climate action and environmental regeneration by working with organizations and individuals at the intersection of climate change and urban, rural, conservation, and built environment challenges.
