New Delhi, March 20, 2026: Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the CSR arm of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Schneider Electric India Foundation to strengthen vocational training infrastructure across Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).

The four-year partnership, effective from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2029, aims to enhance technical education capacity in the fields of electricity and automation. As part of the collaboration, 30 modern electrical training laboratories will be set up across Government ITIs in 20 districts of Tamil Nadu, benefiting over 11,000 youth.

The programme will support training across multiple trades, including electrical, electronics, wireman, fitter, refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC) technician, and solar technician. In addition to Tamil Nadu, eight ITIs across other states—Odisha, Gujarat, Telangana, Jharkhand, and Karnataka—will be refurbished or upgraded, taking the total number of ITIs supported under this partnership to 38.

This partnership enables us to modernise training infrastructure across Government ITIs while integrating structured industry expertise into the learning framework. Our focus is on ensuring that students graduate with practical, job-ready competencies aligned with current and emerging demands.”

The initiative builds on Dalmia Bharat Foundation’s broader skilling efforts, which include ongoing engagement with ITIs and vocational programmes across India. The collaboration is expected to strengthen institutional capacity, improve training quality, and enhance employability outcomes for students in the vocational education ecosystem.
